The Danger of Isolation: Surviving the Roaring Lion(August 2, 2026)
Colby Friday

In his sermon, Pastor Colby reflects on the recent completion of a comprehensive series covering the entire Bible and challenges the congregation to consider how to actively apply scripture to their daily lives. He emphasizes that simply attending a Sunday service is insufficient for nurturing a deep, resilient relationship with the Lord. To address this, Pastor Colby outlines three key reasons for believers to gather in smaller groups during the week: to care for one another during life's struggles, to grow closer to Jesus through serving others, and to prepare themselves for sharing the gospel. He warns that isolating oneself from the church community leaves believers highly vulnerable to spiritual attacks, much like a lion targeting isolated prey. Ultimately, he urges the congregation to actively foster stronger, smaller communities to support one another and remain prepared for Christ's return.
